I'd like to thank you Rev for your kindness, compassion and above all your prayers for our family as we suffer the loss of our beloved Danielle (Trevithick). Your words at Danielle's services brought to an end the rumblings of a personal crisis of faith. Your presence as always a blessing, I found myself recalling Danielle's baptism where I became her godmother at Calvary, promising to see her raised to walk in His footsteps. It was this recollection in combination with your words that reminded me that Danielle is free of earthly restraints, and only out of sight awaiting our reunion. I thank you sincerely for myself. I thank you with all my heart for your continued prayers for my sister Shari, her husband Tony and for Danielle's baby sister Savannah for as you said only days ago, their darkest days have yet to arrive. Please, if possible reach out to them? They trust in your support, affection and prayers on how to proceed without their beloved daughter/sister. I do so miss Calvary and my Rev. living in NC. All my best, Kelly

Hello Dear Calvary, It's been 8 years since we have seen you all, but you are as ever in our hearts. It's wonderful to see the pics and those sweet familiar faces. We're all well and still down the Jersey Shore. Lily is now finishing 4th grade, and Jamie and I have been married for almost 14 years. Terrifying. lol Give our love to all, and we're hoping to show up there again someday, even if only for a quick visit. Love, light, and still praying for peace, Jeni, Jamie, and Lily Zeller

Hello Calvary. I cannot believe I have been gone from this congregation for almost 12 years. I looked through the website and recognized many names. I am truly blessed to have been part of such a wonderful group of people and am missing the comfort of the church and especially one of Rev's big bear hugs. I would like to ask to put my mom Joyce Kerr (also attended and worked in the mission Closet) on your prayer list. She has been diagnosed with terminal cancer (Non-hodgkins Lymphoma) which has already spread to her liver, spleen and lymph fluid. She is a faithful and spiritual woman and is preparing to go "home". Mom is living in an assisted living facility and Hospice has been called in. I pray that you keep her and our family in your prayers. I know she would love to hear from anyone from Calvary, so I am enclosing her address. Joyce Kerr, 450 E. Geneva St, #16, Elkhorn, IL 53121. Thank you and I plan to call Rev. next week. 262-325-7420

I was recently at the memorial Garden for a visit with my father, and the good Lord! It was a beautiful fall day, the sun was shinnig and there was a light breeze. Then I saw your web site for the first time. It's wonderful, then I saw the picture of the Garden with Ardie weeding and I felt that this is a place of serenity, where all the troubles of the world leave you, if only for a short time! So Thank you for such a wonderful place! Love & God's Blessing's too you all. (Martha Berg's Daughter)

Hi. My name is Kyle Whitaker, and I am a student at Murray State University in Murray, KY. I am sending this email to literally every church congregation I can find that seems to have any interest at all in prayer. My girlfriend, Danielle Stefko, has suffered chronic severe headaches for a couple years now and it seems all the doctors have given up trying to find the cause. She recently returned from the Mayo Clinic (sort-of the last medical straw) with still no idea of what’s really going on. All we know is that our Lord can and will heal her despite all of the doctors’ reports (or lack thereof), and so I am asking your church to please put her on any kind of prayer list you may have, and feel free to send her name to any partner churches or anyone you know with a strong prayer life. Thank you for believing with me that she will be healed. In Christ, Kyle Whitaker

Dear Lisle and Linda and Conregation, On seeing your website today, thinking back on 37 years of a ministry ranging from inspiring Gospel ministry in multiple dimensions to lifesaving in firefighting to mentoring/teaching in leadershp development with and for others, with local library development and the raising up of a teacher/leader in a field not trumpeted in the headlines but meeting many needs for those who live in a silent or near-silent world, and a real friendship that has enriched us over the years, we give thanks to God, we thank God for you, and add our prayers for you to keep on keeping on in the Master's service. God bless and we love you!

Rev. and Mrs. Kaufmann--it was a pleasure to meet you both during the Rayunas/Edson wedding reception last Sunday afternoon. Calvary Presbyterian has been very fortunate to have someone with your personality and many talents serving them for the past 37 years. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your upcoming London vacation. (And, don't forget the ice cream truck.)

I will be preaching about the subject "Worry" (to feel uneasy and anxious) on August 20. This didn't make the church paper.

Hello from Arizona. I just got done reading the latest news letter & saw the web site. I thought I'd send a note to say hi and to thank you for sending me the news letter. I know that it is costly to be sending it to me, but I do enjoy reading it. If you want to delete my name off your list that is OK. Bill & I continue to do well here in Arizona. The move was good for me because of my health issues. I continue to have difficulty walking and now use a cane & a walker most of the time. But I am still fighting hard to stay out of a wheel chair. I am going to Illinois next month & I am hoping to come out to the RL area. I would love to be able to come to Sunday service. I think about Calvary. often and I still miss it. Ever sence we moved here Bill & I have been attending a small Catholic church faithfully out here. That is a very good thing since Bill had not gone to church in a long time. Well God Bless you all. Sincerely Betty Jeffery Mesa AZ

RE: Pat Robertson's remark about Ariel Sharon: 1. The Bible says there is a time for everything and his charge (Robertson's) was most insensitive and out of place. 2. The Bible indicates Israel has yet to take all of the land promised to them, which he doesn't address. 3. God didn't manufacture Mr. Sharon's medical history to use as a license for Divine punishment. 4. No one is healthy or alive apart from the mercy and grace of God! 5. Obviusly, not all conservative Christian leaders embrace this irresponsible comment.
