The Session is the highest administrative body in the local church.  The Session delegates authority to other church boards and church officers, but it can never delegate responsibility.  The Session is the supreme authority in the local church.  The members who serve are called Elders.

The Deacons are ordained to serve the congregation as servants of our Lord and Savior.  They are called to minister to the sick, those that need clothes, food, shelter, the bereaved and the lonely of the church and community.
