Since 1953 Calvary has been a source of ministry and mission to the Round Lake area and western Lake County. The congregation of Calvary Presbyterian Church believes we are called to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, be an advocate for those with no voice, and respond to the needs of those in "our own little corner of the world". We strive to be a faithful and obedient people of God. We believe in the Holy Trinity and that there is only one God, that He is the creator of the universe and the master of all therein, and in the Holy Spirt sent by God to be the Comforter. We adhere to the Apostle's Creed and believe that the Scriptures are the divine Word of God.

Pastor Nominating Committee
The Session
appointed a Pastor Nominating Committee to seek a Supply Minister for the
ongoing ministry of Calvary Church. They will work quickly to find someone to
be the pastor of this congregation. The supply position is an ongoing pastoral
relationship which is renewed annually in cooperation with the Presbytery of
Chicago. This person will be hired by the Session and be a full time pastor to
lead this congregation into the future.
The committee is chaired by Bob
Cerretti (Chair of the Personnel and Administration Committee), the secretary
is Judy Armstrong, with Jim Beverly (Board of Deacon representative), Ardice
Wilson (Trustee representative), Don Newby (Session representative), and
Dorothy Schotanus, Charlie Foy (both congregational representatives). Please
feel free to talk to these individuals about their work.
